Russian – Alphabet: Lesson 4

Today’s letters will be З/з, Ч/ч, and М/м

З is the Russian Equivalent of ‘Z’ in English, and phonetically it sounds like ‘Zuh’.

Ч is actually the sound ‘ch’. With certain Russian words it sounds like ‘sch’, but as a rule, it’s usually a ‘ch’ sound.

М is practically identical to the English letter ‘M’ although the sound tends to be a bit deeper than the English ‘M’.

Lesson Word: Зачем (Za-chyem) (what for?)
